Legal Effective 9 September 2026
Terms
The free trial, the deposit, who owns what, and the small print. Plain English, England and Wales law.
1. About these terms
These terms cover two things: using this website, and the free website trial we offer through it. They are between you (the business asking for a trial, or the person browsing) and MyMotion, the trading name of MyMotion Ltd, company number 17007992, registered at 28 Leyfield, Worcester Park, KT4 7LS, United Kingdom.
Our services are for businesses. If you are a consumer, nothing here takes away rights the law gives you.
MotionBookings, our garage software, is a separate subscription with its own terms at motionbookings.co.uk. Section 7 explains how the two fit together.
2. The free trial
What we build
If your business is eligible, we design and build the desktop version of your website, free of charge, and then present it to you on a call or at a meeting and take your feedback. This is the "trial site". It matches step 01 of the process shown on the site: Your desktop site, built free in 4 to 5 days and shown on a call. No deposit, no card.
What it costs
Nothing, until you decide to go ahead. There is no obligation to continue. If you do not want it, say so and that is the end of it; you owe us nothing and we keep the work.
Eligibility
Not every business is a fit for a free trial. We decide who is eligible, based on the answers you give in the eligibility check and the call that follows, and we can decline without giving a reason. A completed eligibility check is a request, not an acceptance.
Where the trial site lives
The trial site is shown on our own preview address, not on your domain, and it is not published to the public or submitted to search engines until you have paid the deposit and signed off.
What we need from you
Enough to work with: your business name, what you do, where you are, and any logo, photos or text you want used. You confirm that you own or are allowed to use anything you give us, and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.
3. Who owns the design
Before payment
Until the deposit is paid, everything we make for the trial (the design, the layout, the copy we wrote, the code, the images we produced) belongs to MyMotion. You may look at it and share it with the people in your business who decide. You may not copy it, publish it, pass it to another designer or developer, or use it as a brief for someone else to build from.
After the balance is paid
Once the balance for the finished site has been paid in full, the finished site is yours: the design, the pages, the copy we wrote for you, and the code specific to your site, to use, host and change as you like. Two things stay with us:
- the general tools, components and techniques we use on every site, which we may go on using for other clients;
- the right to show the finished site in our own portfolio (for example the street and the Work section on this site) and to link to it, unless you ask us in writing not to.
Your material
Your logo, photos, text and brand remain yours throughout. You give us a licence to use them to build and, while we host it, run your site.
4. The process and the timings
The process on this site is the one we follow:
- See your site, free (Days 1 to 5). Your desktop site, built free in 4 to 5 days and shown on a call. No deposit, no card.
- Launch inside the programme (Week 1). Say yes and it goes live on your domain: mobile, Grade A speed, technical SEO. Never a separate bill.
- We rank it (Weeks 1 to 24). Local SEO, Google Business Profile, content. Baseline in week one, a report every four weeks.
- Calls land in the board (Ongoing). Bookings land in MotionBookings, traced back to the search that found you. Recurring work, not an invoice.
Day counts are working days from the day we start, and they are targets, not promises. They depend on getting your feedback and material when we ask for it. If a step runs over because of something on our side, we tell you and the new date is the one we give you in writing (a WhatsApp message counts as writing).
5. Paying
- The deposit and the balance are the amounts we quote you in writing before the trial ends. Work on the mobile version, speed and SEO starts once the deposit has arrived.
- The balance is due at sign-off, before the site goes live on your domain.
- The deposit is not refundable once work in step 02 has started, because that work is done for your site alone.
- Prices are in pounds sterling. We will tell you whether VAT applies when we quote.
- Your domain name is yours. Hosting, and any monthly amounts, are agreed in writing before launch.
6. SEO and speed
We build for speed and for local search, and the site shows real before-and-after PageSpeed reports for clients who let us publish them. Search engines are not ours to control: we do not promise rankings, traffic, or a particular score for your site.
7. MotionBookings
MotionBookings is sold separately, as a subscription, under its own terms and prices at motionbookings.co.uk. The web-client price shown on this site (In the programme, Pro+ is included. The tiers below are for garages who only want the software.) is offered to businesses whose site we build, and it is taken up, billed and cancelled under the MotionBookings terms, not these. The demo board on this site uses made-up data and is for showing how it works.
8. The wrap and tint tester
The tester on this site is for trying out. The visualisation is an approximation on a stock image of the model, not a guarantee of how a real wrap or tint will look, and the UK window tint rules quoted in it are a guide, not legal advice. Putting the tester on your own website is a separate agreement.
9. Using this website
- The site is provided as it is. We try to keep it accurate and available, but we do not promise either.
- Client websites shown inside this site are theirs, not ours. We are not responsible for their content or how they work.
- You may not scrape the site, try to get around its security, send it automated form submissions, or use it to send us anything unlawful.
- The content, design and code of this site are ours. You may link to it freely.
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not let us limit.
Otherwise, our total liability to you for anything arising from the trial, the site build, or this website, whether in contract, tort or otherwise, is limited to the fees you have paid us for the work in question. For the free trial, before any deposit, that is nil. We are not liable for loss of profit, business, or data, or for any indirect or consequential loss.
You are responsible for keeping a copy of your own material and for checking the site before sign-off.
11. General
- If we do not enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.
- If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies.
- These terms, plus what we agree with you in writing, are the whole agreement between us for the trial and the build.
- We may update these terms for future trials. The terms in force when you request your trial are the ones that apply to it.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, without prejudice to any right a consumer has to bring proceedings where they live.
